Bryan is the publisher of bethelnyhotels.com and the owner of The Charmed Circle Cabin in the Sullivan Catskills. He spent about fifteen years coming up to fly fish the area's rivers and creeks before building a cabin of his own in 2025. He started this guide to answer the questions his guests ask before every show weekend: how far it is, where to park, what to bring and where to eat. The site is independent and is not affiliated with Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

Why this directory exists

bethelnyhotels.com is an independent guide to places to stay near Bethel Woods. I'm Bryan, and I own a cabin in the Sullivan Catskills, so I hear the same questions from guests every season: how far is it to the venue, where do we park, what can we bring, and where should we eat afterward. This site is my attempt to answer them in one place.

My path to this corner of New York started with fly fishing. For about fifteen years I came up to fish the rivers and creeks here and kept telling myself I would build a place of my own someday. In 2025 I finally did. The cabin takes its name from an old magazine story about a "charmed circle" of pristine fishing waters in these hills, and that feeling of a place worth protecting is a big part of why I care about getting the details right for visitors.

This is an independent local guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, and it is not a hotel or a booking agent. When a page talks about a venue rule, I link to the venue's own page and print the date I last checked it, because policies change and the official page is the one to trust.

How the listings work: places to stay are shown with their distance to the venue. Contact each property directly for rates, availability and minimum stays.

One listing is mine. The Charmed Circle Cabin is marked as a premium listing, and its own page says I own it, so you always know which stay is mine. It sits on wooded land above Callicoon Creek and suits small groups who want a quiet base for a show weekend, a fishing trip or a few slow days in the mountains.

If you spot something out of date or want to suggest a place, write to me at info@charmedcirclecabin.com. I read every note.

How listings are vetted

Every place to stay on this site starts from public business records for hotels, motels, inns, bed and breakfasts, cabins, cottages, vacation rentals, campgrounds and RV parks within reach of Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. We keep places that are open and have guest reviews, drop ones that are closed or no longer active, and merge duplicates. Each listing shows its rating, its review count and its distance to the venue.

The details on each listing, such as a pool, a hot tub, a kitchen, a pet policy or a shuttle to the venue, come from the property's own website. When the website does not say, the listing says "not enough info" rather than guessing. Rates, availability and minimum stays change often, so we leave them to the property: call or book with them directly. One listing, The Charmed Circle Cabin, is owned by the publisher and is labeled that way everywhere it appears.

Right now that is 181 places to stay in 24 New York cities, last refreshed 2026-10-14.

Owners can claim their listing for free. Every claim is checked by a person: a real local business, a matching email domain or a call to the number on the Google listing. Paid placements are marked as featured, premium or best-of wherever they appear.
