The Charmed Circle Cabin
A modern cabin built in 2025 on four wooded acres, a walk from Callicoon Creek, with a red cedar hot tub, a wood stove and a fire pit.
Places to stay in Roscoe lean toward the Beaverkill River and the campgrounds that line it. Four of the thirteen properties here are campgrounds, and one of the village motels sits right on the bank of the Beaverkill. The nearest, Roscoe Mountain Club, is 13.7 miles from Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, and the farthest, Roscoe Retreat, is 21.6, so a show night from Roscoe is a planned drive rather than a quick hop.
In the village, the choices are small and personal. The Yarra, rated 4.9 from 88 Google reviews, is a design-forward inn with four private rooms in a restored 1890s home, continental breakfast and a Saturday Supper Club. Roscoe Motel, at 4.5 from 121, sits on the bank of the Beaverkill River next to a well-known fishing spot and includes breakfast. Reynolds House Inn & Motel, at 4.2 from 61, pairs a historic inn of 7 decorated rooms with a simple 8-room motel where dogs are welcome. Rockland House, at 4.4 from 339, is a family-run motel with its own restaurant and bar serving prime rib and seafood, so dinner and a room are under one roof. Trout Town Inn, at 4.0 from 25, rents the inn and a separate Delaware River Retreat. The Yarra also offers grab-and-go provisions, private dining and room blocks, and Roscoe Motel takes bookings online, by email or by phone.
The campgrounds are the bigger story. Roscoe Campsites, rated 4.3 from 183, has covered wagons, themed cabins, luxury lodge tents, RV sites, tent sites and private river houses, with fishing on the premises. Butternut Grove Campsite, at 4.7 from 175, offers standard and waterfront campsites, tent sites, a chalet, and cabins and trailers. Beaverkill Campground, at 4.4 from 160, takes tents and RVs, and Russell Brook Campsites, at 4.6 from 138, sits half a mile from the Beaverkill River inside 18,000 acres of forest preserve. Dogs are welcome at all four. Deluxe cabins at Roscoe Campsites come with a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom, while its riverfront woodland cabins have a kitchenette. Each unit at Butternut Grove comes with water, electricity and free Wi-Fi.
